From the Domain Manager, you’ll also be able to get an SSL certificate for your domain. With an SSL certificate, all the private details that your clients send through your website (on the order page, via a login form, and so on) will be encrypted and the submitted info will never be jeopardized.

To activate an SSL certificate for your domain name, simply fill in the required info and then press the Activate button. You can get a regular SSL certificate, which will be valid for one single host, or a wildcard SSL certificate, which will be valid for all the hosts under your domain.

With the aid of the Wildcard DNS feature, you can make all your subdomains direct to the main page of your website. For example, if a person types any.domain.com or smth.domain.com, they’ll see http://domain.com/.

You may need the Wildcard DNS functionality for a multisite web app like Joomla^™ Multi–Site or WordPress.

To add a wildcard domain name, visit the Domain Manager section of your Control Panel and hit the Add Host button located on the right. At the bottom of the list of options, you’ll notice the Wildcard Domain tickbox.
