A catch-all email mailbox is one that captures all the messages sent to non-existent email addresses. For example, if your email address is info@domain.com, but somebody miswrites it and sends an email to inof@domain.com, it will still be received in the catch-all mailbox that you have created. Only one single mailbox per domain name can have this feature activated and thus you will never miss emails because the other side has an obsolete address or has made a typo. The drawback of creating a catch-all mailbox is that you may start receiving lots of spam emails, but this problem can be fixed by using anti-spam protection software. It is also vital to know that a mailbox with an active catch-all feature cannot redirect incoming emails to a 3rd-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Shared Hosting

You will be able to create a catch-all e-mailbox effortlessly if you have a shared hosting plan with us. The Email Manager tool in our custom-created Hepsia Control Panel is feature-loaded, yet extremely easy to use, and it will allow you to activate different features, including the catch-all one, with just a couple of clicks of the mouse. All the email addresses that you have set up will be shown alphabetically in this section and on the right-hand side of each one of them you will notice a small-size "Catch-all" logo. Clicking on it once will enable this option, clicking it twice will deactivate it. Since you can have just one such mailbox per domain name, our system will inform you if you already have a different one with this option enabled or if you’ve got active email forwarding.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

The catch-all functionality can be enabled with ease if you have a semi-dedicated server account with our company. All the email addresses that you’ve created with the domain names hosted in your account will be shown in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia hosting Control Panel and you will see a tiny icon conveniently situated directly next to each one. With only one single click, you can enable or disable the catch-all option for any mailbox of your choice on the condition that there isn't another mailbox under the same domain with this option already enabled and there isn't enabled email forwarding. Alternatively, you can right-click on an email address and enable this option through the context menu that will come into sight. In case any of the requirements for creating a catch-all mailbox is not satisfied, our system will inform you, but will not deactivate or replace anything automatically.
