Having full root-level access means that you will be able to access and change any file on a particular server, including all of the system files, and to change system settings or set up server-side software that may be necessary for certain scripts and even offline applications to work appropriately. A server is accessed at the root level with a root user, which has full privileges to do all of the aforementioned things. The root user can also make other users. For safety reasons, you are advised to have one more account for day-to-day tasks and to use the root account only if you actually need to perform a specific task on the hosting server. The root-level access feature gives you full control of your server from any existing location, as long as you have the user credentials.

Full Root-level Access in VPS Servers

If you obtain a VPS servers from our company, you'll have full root-level access in three cases - if the server includes no website hosting Control Panel at all, or if you select cPanel during the order process. In the first case, you will be able to update any part of the system with a Secure Shell console, whereas in the second, you can still use SSH to connect and to make changes, but you will also have a graphical interface at your disposal to manage your web content and almost all the system settings. The root access makes our virtual server packages an excellent choice if you want to run any kind of software that you are unable to install in an ordinary shared web hosting account. With the last Control Panel option - Hepsia, you'll be able to connect through SSH and to manage the content on the hosting server, however, the root access privileges will be more limited.

Full Root-level Access in Dedicated Servers

Each dedicated server that we provide includes full root-level access, when the server is ordered without a Control Panel, or with cPanel. If you would like to install and run heavy, resource-demanding apps and they have specific requirements about the server software environment that can't be fulfilled by an ordinary shared website hosting package, our servers will be the perfect solution. Without any Control Panel at hand, you are able to access the server and customize its settings and the content that you upload using a console, while with cPanel you'll use a graphical interface to take care of everything related to your web content, as well as most server-side settings. Of course, if you get a dedicated server without a Control Panel, you may always install some third-party instrument manually, as long as it is compatible with the OS that you have selected at registration. If you choose the Hepsia Control Panel on the order page, you will have limited root access, but you'll still be able to do a lot of things using a Secure Shell console.
